Getting Ready for Capitol Hill
Monday morning I jet off to Washington D.C. to partner with the Coalition for Imaging and Bioengineering Research (if you think that is a mouthful than simply call it C.I.B.R.) and the Washington University School of Medicine et al. I will speak on behalf of pediatric stroke patients - children and parents (parents suffer can anxiety putting young children under anesthesia for imaging) - who have to undergo imaging for diagnostic purposes.
I will make this brief, as I am deep into preparing for my stent in D.C. to speak to Congress with our wonderful partners, and trying to get some time in with my family before I head out.
However, I need to add that I suffer, rather severely, from Separation Anxiety when it comes to being away from my children. The stepping outside of my front door to leave on a trip is NEVER easy for me.
Lastly, I will be sharing a video blog, over the next several days, of everything that is happening to keep you up-to-date. I will share about what I am doing, who I encounter and what I am learning for our children and pediatric stroke awareness.
